The 'Grinch', 'Charlie Brown Christmas?....others?
My Dad is a big Jimmy Buffet fan - he has all CD's, etc. Know of anything unique I can find for him for Xmas?
Same for Betty Boop - my mom loves her, she almost resembles her - any cool ideas for that??
My parents are young 58ers who live in Florida!
My budget is @ up to for each. My family is supposed to just do stocking stuffers this year but they ARE my parents. My siblings and I are also pitching in and having my mom's wisodm teeth yanked out for her Dec 27. My neighbor works for a dentist so we are getting a good deal since she has no insurance - she said her teeth are in sideways and poking her in the cheecks when she tries to sleep. Merry F-N Christmas for that one huh?

Does anyone know where I can find a Betty Boop bra and panty set online. I need to have it before Christmas and at a reasonable price.
It's a christmas cartoon from like 70 something years back.
It's call Christmas comes but once a year. It starts at a poor orphanage and these girls wake up to Christmas to see their presents in their stockings end up breaking. So they all end up disappointed and sad that their presents are broken. Grampy the Inventor(from Betty Boop cartoons) happens to hear their cries and plans to do something about it. He goes into their kitchen and makes toys out of everything in the kitchen. As well as decorating the main room. Then dresses up like Santa and calls out the girls from their bedroom. They start to play happily with the toys Grampy made and he even lays cotton down creating a ski slope out of the stairs. Then he makes a big christmas tree out of umbrellas and decorates it.
How did that cartoon make you feel?
Does anyone else remember these classic Christmas (or similar) cartoons?
Santa's Surprise
Christmas comes but once a year
Somewhere in Dreamland
and similar cartoons, like Popeye, Betty Boop, Little Lulu?
I think they were made in the 40's or 50's originally, but I grew up watching them because we had some old tapes. I still pull them out every year. You can't beat the quality of the old cartoons... they have something wonderful that the more modern ones just don't have!
on the contrary, cajohnson667, I'm only 19!
And its awesome that I'm not the only one who loves 'Somewhere in Dreamland'. Its just a good wholesome cartoon
and Warner Bros were not racist... *grumbles at stupid politically correct paranoia*
This is going to sound really dumb but I'm trying to remember who the cartoon character guy was or what he was on who had a bowl hair cut! I thought it was Humpty Dumpty but I just looked up pics of him and he's bald! Then I thought he might be on Alice in Wonderland or maybe Sleeping Beauty?? But I really don't know. All I know is he had brown hair with the classic Lloyd Christmas hairdo and is kind of a pudgy guy in an old fashioned kind of outfit. Please help because this is driving me CRAZY!!!! lol
Yeah, I THINK it's a Disney character. I'm not sure what you mean by what style of drawing is it? Definitely an older cartoon...from maybe the 80s to mid 90s? He's kind of a dorky guy...not a main character. Um, chubby, looks similar to Tweedle Dee & Dum....
Mine is The Grinch who stole Christmas.
I am in a personality theory class and I am doing a project of how Abraham Maslow's heirarchy of needs applies to the film How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
