Does no one have any manners anymore?
It's saturday morning, 8:40 to be exact. Sleep in day, for most. Someone rings the doorbell. You drag yourself out of bed in your Betty Boop jammies to see who it is. One eye opened and one eye shut, you open the door.
Standing there are 4 people holding gifts. Have stopped by for a visit, out of the blue.
At that very moment, the first thought in my head is how wrong the saying is, "Beware of Greeks baring gifts". It should be, "Beware the person who answers the door"!!!!!!!
What would you have done?

I let them in of course, but it was embarrrrrasssssing....had to leave them alone to go get dressed. Stayed up real late last night!
The gifts were cakes (just what I needed......) and I served them some with coffee! The rest shall be gobbled up shortly.........
Just wish they would have called first. I could have been more prepared.

i hate uninvited guess…all should call before they come over, that’s just common sense.
thats really rude!! that is way too early to be stopping by. i hesitate to even call people on weekends before 10:00 am…..argh!!
I would have checked to see who it was (through the peephole or the window) then not have answered the door.
I would have asked them to wait on the porch while I got dressed and then I would have invited them in for coffee and explained to them that Saturday mornings I sleep in late and if they are coming to visit they need to call and let me know so I can make plans.

i would of looked through the peep hole and went back to sleep

I have manners. That is how I was brought up. All of my friends do crude things, like burp and fart, and they laugh. I don’t think it is funny. It’s rather discusting. :/

Well "Beware of person answering the door", that’s for sure because of bad breath in the morning and messy hair. I would have first checked through the peep hole. If it was family, come in and sit down as i get ready. If it my friends, I would have said sorry but can you please come back at an appropriate time,right now is not the right time.

Slip a note under the door to your guests saying keep a knocking but you can’t come in, come back later at a decent time and try it again.
